When eating becomes an art
Formela Restaurant, the traditional flavor of León
The Quindós family founded the Formela Restaurant in 1989. Since then Formela has grown to become one of the best gastronomical options in the city of León, appearing year after year at the top of the lists in the best, national and international, tourism and cuisine guide books.
- Specialities: Morcilla (Black Pudding) sautéed with eggs, served with potatoes; the León stew and our cod in garlic sauce. And for dessert, an exquisite ice-cream soufflé.
- Gastronomy: Traditional cuisine prepared with market products.
- Our wines: More than 100 references with the main wines of Spanish origin and latest products in the world of wine. Our sommelier is Champion of Castile and León and finalist of the Nariz de Oro (Golden Nose) Competition.
2 SPACES DIFFERENTIATED BY THEIR OWN CHARACTER:
Situated on the 1st floor, this small, a la carte restaurant has 9 tables and a capacity that can seat up to 35 people.
The ground floor of the restaurant is our gallery. When our fathers, Jaime and Sira, opened a new exhibition, they always invited the artist and the team to have dinner in this room. After dinner and the odd bottle of wine, the artists left us a dedication on the table cloths or serviettes, sometimes done with Bic pens and sometimes done with burnt bottle corks. This room is the soul of our house and on its walls are exhibited not only these works of art but also the memory of the life of our fathers.
